About me
Hey, I’m Neelu — a graphic designer and photographer based in Winnipeg, and the person behind CreativelyNeelu.
My design work spans logos, brand identities, social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other print and digital materials. I enjoy taking an idea and figuring out how to bring it to life through typography, colour, and layout. Sometimes that means building a visual identity from scratch; other times, it’s finding a fresh way to work within an existing brand.
I like design that has a purpose as well as personality. Whether I’m creating a logo or putting together a print piece, I pay attention to how the details work together, what needs to stand out, and how easily someone can understand the message.
Photography started about 15 years ago with a camera I “borrowed” from my dad. Leaving the photos on the memory card gave me away, but that camera eventually became my birthday gift—and started a lasting obsession.
I’m a self-taught photographer, and wildlife was my first classroom. It taught me to watch closely, react quickly, and let moments unfold. After moving to Canada, I expanded into events, portraits, sports, products, and urban photography. I’m still drawn to candid moments: the real laugh, the quick glance, the expression just before someone notices the camera.
Whether I’m behind a camera or working on a design, I like making work that feels clean, useful, and full of personality.
